Scavenger

Some time since the last update here now, so it’s time to show some stuff. Pretty much all of the animations are done and we’re now working to get everything ready to render.

This is the first shot from inside the cockpit:

Here are some updates on our progress. First of, the alien and human. These are pretty much done now, but if we get the time some details like the specular will be tweaked.

The same goes for the spaceship. It’s pretty much done now, but if we get the time we’ll try to tweak some stuff to make it perfect.

The rescuepod has also been textured now and is ready for rendering.

As for animation, I have started a bit and got to test out the rig for the alien. Just fixing up some blendshapes and it’s finished. As long as there aren’t any problems. Animation will start for full throttle next week with two of us animating.

Here are the concept art and WiP’s for our two characters. Modeling is done and texturing is underway. I’ve started rigging the alien now and hope to be able to start animating soon.

I finished modeling the cockpit interior. Here is a quick render.

I (Mathias Røyrvik) have been working on the rescuepod for our short, and it’s taking more time than expected. Some due to me being sick, but mostly because the pod got small redesigns almost everyday. But now it’s almost done and UV’d.

Svein Yngve Sandvik Antonsen has worked on the alien and human model for the short.

Jon Kristian Gravdal have been working on the spaceship for the alien.
